The Celebrators: A Retrospective (Photo Essay by Michael Maxwell)

My friend and brother in faith Michael Maxwell invited me to his showing of his photography exhibit, "The Celebrators", which is currently on display at the Loch Walker Gallery and Skyway Gallery in Spirit Square in Charlotte, NC. "The Celebrators" is a photo essay completed in 1995 that shows the ebullient spirit of community that was exhibited at the Dr. Martin Luther King Day Parade on Beatties Ford Rd. in Charlotte, NC. in which he was both a participant and observer. Mr. Maxwell not only invited me to the showing, but because he is a big fan of our youtube channel, he asked that I document the event so that he could show his mother. I was honored and terrified at the same time. This is what I came up with...enjoy!I would like to personally thank everyone who gave testimony and helped me create this.
